no lie: BEST. DAY. EVER.
Even though I am sitting around not doing intern-like things sweltering in the godforsaken heat and worrying about my burning desire to watch Fast & Furious again, I am pretty sure I am having the BEST. DAY. EVER. Let me count the ways:
one. I won’t be losing my scholarship (at least until next sem)! My grades have managed to surpass my wildest expectations, though, tbh my dad says it’s not that hard, seeing as I always expect to flunk.
one and a half. I might go University Scholar for the second sem. First fucking time while taking majors.
two. I HAVE THE BEST REPORTER-SUPERVISOR EVER.
two and one fourth. I have a byline in today’s Philippine Daily Inquirer. My reporter gave me a byline in today’s Philippine Daily Inquirer. Print and online.
two and one half. She let me not go to internship today, after our first day yesterday. (Though I have a valid academic excuse not to go, she was still nice, because really, for most of the day I am kinda slacking off.)
two and three quarters. When I told her about how UP students still have to pay tuition fee for summer just for internship class and without the school being the ones to provide the internship (like with my brother and DLSU), she said exactly what should have been said: that it was a complete rip-off. (It totally is.)
three. I don’t have to ride the MRT during rush hour today.
